Trevor, Katie and the kids came to visit for a few days. It is always so great to catch up with them. We wish we got to see them more!

I am so proud of my sister.....she drove her and Ayla all the way up here by herself!!! If you know Krista--this is a big deal. Now she has no excuse not to come back--often!

I know......I have not posted in like 2 months. We have been busy....not sure what has been filling up my days but I have not had a chance to sit down and blog. Now we are all sick; I have NO voice....cannot talk at all (you should hear me try to discipline the boys--they laugh) so I figured this would be a good time to catch up!
We have a problem...well Nolen has a problem. He poops in pools and around pools. He pooped on the concrete around the pool at Eric's parents house and blamed it on his sweet cousin Elliott (who's Mommy was smart enough to put a swim diaper on her), then he pooped IN the pool at Eric's parents house on 4th of July (during a family reunion) and the pool had to be evacuated, then he pooped in our pool. Let's just say he now has to wear swim diapers (not that they really do anything except hold it in until they smoosh it and it starts coming out the sides).
OK.....what a great way to start off my blogging session!! As if you aren't completely grossed out....here is a picture for you!
I don't know if I have ever said it....but my hubbie rocks!!! He is such an awesome Daddy...my kids are soooo blessed. Gavin has been begging to go camping. So...Eric decided to set up the tent in the backyard a few weeks ago so him and Gavin could camp out. Mommy isn't much of a camper...I have to be able to wash my face before bed. Anyways...they set up the tent and Gavin put all the blankets and sleeping bags he could find in it. We made smores over the fire pit and then Mommy headed inside to get a bath and enjoy the air conditioning while the boys headed to the tent to tell stories and all that fun stuff. It wasn't long after I went to bed that they joined me inside. I guess it isn't as fun when you have an air conditioning unit and a pool pump in your ear while you are trying to sleep. Gavin still had a blast though....
Gavin and his cousin Copeland had a little photo shoot....they are gonna be trouble in about 10 years!!!
If you have ever been around Eric and I very often, then you have most likely met Eric's Papaw Gifford. You will remember him because he was always happy and cutting up with everyone. He was the hardest worker I know....always cutting the grass, gardening or offering help to anyone who needed it. Eric's Papaw loved his family so much. He loved his 4 grandchildren and he could not get enough of his great-grandchildren, all 10 of them!! Unfortunately, Eric's Papaw passed away on May 22nd.
Today on the way out to Eric's parents house, Gavin told me that he wishes that "Old Papaw" were still here to go fishing with him and take him for rides on the tractor. He said that every time he wishes on a star--he wishes for "Old Papaw" to come down from Heaven and see us, but he knows that wish won't come true.
We will all miss him so much!!!
Ok....things have been CRAZY!!! I am going to try to catch you up on everything over the next few days.
While we were in Florida we got family pictures done.....not just any family pictures--the best pictures EVER!!!! We are so excited....we got them in a couple of weeks ago and we are hoping to finish making the frames this weekend (thanks to a very handy husband). I will post some pictures of the finished project once they are done. Anyways...here are the ones that Amy sent me so I could share them with everyone. On a side note, if you live in or near the Destin area.....you need to have Amy (http://www.ellementsstudios.com/) take pictures of your family!!! She was great with the kids and totally captured our family's personalities. We all loved her!!!
