Just in case you haven't already heard......

My sister is PREGNANT too!!!!!

It looks like she is almost exactly one month behind me.  We are all super excited!  Nolen and Ayla are 3 months apart and these babies will be even closer in age.  We are hoping that we will switch it up and I will have a girl and she will have a boy!
It is so fun to have your best friend and sister to complain talk to and compare all of our symptoms.  Hopefully, she will not be as sick as she was with Ayla.
Congrats Krista and Larry!  So excited for you.....and me! HA!

Sports, Sports, Sports!!

Wow! I don't know what we will do when Nolen gets old enough to play sports too!
First it was football, then basketball and now soccer!
Gavin LOVES soccer. It hasn't taken the place of his most favorite, which is football but it is running a close second.
Personally, I think he is a natural (not biased at all). His first game he scored a goal and had an awesome corner kick that also resulted in a goal!!! He was very excited!
The good thing is they practice for 30 minutes before each game.  It works out great.....we don't have to get out for practice on a week day.
As usual, Nolen is quite jealous and wants to know when he can play too.  He really believes that he is just as big as Gavin.

8 Week Update!

Here it is......
THIS is my 8 week pregnant belly.  It is crazy....I remember wanting so badly to show with Gavin and I honestly think I was 15 weeks before my belly looked like it does right now with #3.  Apparently, this is what happens with #3....you show sooner.  I am not complaining.....at least I am skipping the "is she fat or pregnant phase"!!
I am feeling ok.  The nausea has definitely set in.  Eric and I went to dinner with some friends Friday night to an amazing Italian Restaurant and I could hardly eat.  Nothing sounds good and nothing tastes good.

I did the birth chart on one of the websites and it says I am having a boy!!  It was wrong with Gavin and Nolen so I am hoping it is wrong this time too and we will have a girl!

A new "do" for Nolen!

It was definitely time for a haircut for my long haired boys. They have both always had long hair. We decided a few weeks ago that with all Nolen's "cow licks" that maybe we should cut his short. He said he was "very exciting" about it. I took pictures of the whole process.

Before we left.  Notice the T-Shirt....it was Gavin's and is TOTALLY appropriate for Nolen right now.
He is all about his huge muscles right now.  He shows them to everyone.
Big brother Gavin before his trim.
Nolen getting his hair washed.  He did not want to do this at first but he LOVED it!
All clean and ready for the big cut!
Being a big boy!
Not sure what this face was about.
Gavin after his hair cut--so handsome!
The new Eric Nolen.
How adorable is he?
Even with short hair....he still has huge muscles!
Brothers.  Gavin told him he looked like a nerd.  I think it may have been a little jealousy over all the attention Nolen was getting.
I love this picture!  Nolen loves Gavin sooo much.
So....what do you think?  I think that Nolen now looks even more like Eric than before.

Cravings.....or not!

I have been LOVING these Terra Chips for a while now.  All of a sudden, I can't eat them.  They just don't sound good.  I highly recommend them,  you can get them at WalMart but I have tried all the flavors and the Olive Oil, Sundried Tomato and Balsamic Vinegar are by far the best!

They are relatively healthy for chips.....but I don't want them.  I want THESE instead!!  Buffalo Cheddar Popcorn---not exactly a healthy choice but OH SO GOOD!

Oh yeh, I am also loving pickles and olives right now.  I caught Eric eating banana peppers out of the jar yesterday, apparently he is having cravings too.

Stomach Virus 2010!

Thank God it's gone!  I already told you about Gavin and Nolen having the stomach bug.
Well, I woke up Sunday morning feeling VERY nauseous.  I got a shower and tried to get ready for Church.  Honestly, I thought "Oh geez, here is the morning sickness.  This is MUCH worse than I remember it being with the boys".  I took a Zofran and decided that I could make it to Church.  So off we went.  The Zofran definitely helped some but I was still not feeling well.
Thank God Eric's parents took the boys home with them after Church.  Eric and I went to grab a quick bite to eat and then he had to go back to Church to film.  I could hardly eat--which if you know me at all is not usually a problem.  We got home and I got in the bed, I fell asleep but woke up beccause I was so miserable.
Eric left and went to Church and I stayed on the couch and was almost in tears I felt so bad.  Eric finished around 5:30, went and got the boys and came home.  He told me he was feeling pretty bad so I figured he was getting it too.  He made it home and then he started--diarrhea and vomiting (too much information, I know).
We managed to get the kids to bed and went to bed around 10 and woke up feeling somewhat better.  We are back to normal today and soooo glad that is over.  I noticed a few things during this time.
1.  I never throw up (knock on wood).  I wanted to...that's how nauseous I was but I couldn't.  My sister has earned the title of "puker" in our family.  I cannot tell you the last time I threw up--it has been at least 5 years.
2.  When you get a virus and you don't throw up but your spouse does--it appears that you are less sick.
3.  Nolen is like his Daddy.  He throws up A LOT and is a little "dramatic" about it.
4.  Gavin is like his Mommy.  Rarely throws up and takes being sick like a champ--so tough.  I am not bragging on myself at all--ok maybe a little.
5.  I will take sinus infections and snot and coughs any day over throw up and diarrhea!!!!

On another note:  First OB appointment today, everything went great!  Official due date is October 23rd!  Let the countdown begin!

1 Healthy Heartbeat!

I had my final appointment with my fertility Doctor yesterday.  She always does your first ultrasound and then writes a big long report on you and sends it to your OB and then you are done!  (my file is definitely FAT after 3 pregnancies and 2 surgeries).

We had kind of thought that we were possibly having twins....but we are not.  We did get to see the heartbeat.....and she said everything looked great!

I was supposed to have my first appointment with my OB today but Nolen got the virus that Gavin had (but much worse--of course) and so I rescheduled it for Tuesday.  Of course, Nolen is feeling totally back to normal today but I didn't want to take the chance of having someone keep him and then get sick.

When I picked Gavin up from school I showed him the US picture of our new little baby and he stared at it for a minute and then said "Oh, I can definitely see that it's a person!".  That is really good.....all I see is a blob but he already sees a person.

I am definitely starting to feel pregnant.  The nausea has set in but not as bad as with the boys yet.  It comes and goes right now so its not too bad.  I am definitely tired....I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.  I do think that I am showing a little....and my pants are already tight--AAAAHHHH!!!!!

My due date will be somewhere around October 20th and we will find out what we are having in June--can't wait!

Oops....I forgot to blog!

I guess with all the excitement of being pregnant.....I forgot to blog.
 So....let me catch you up.

*Nolen got a big fat black eye, a goose egg on the back of his head AND a fat lip all in one week.
-The black eye happened at Eric's parents store, where he was playing in an empty spa and fell.
-The goose egg on the back of his head was from him and Gavin wrestling and Gavin tackled and he hit his head on the corner of the wall.
-The fat lip was from when he got out of his bed when he was supposed to be going to sleep and then ran to get back in his bed and fell and hit his mouth on the bed somehow.

*Gavin had his last basketball game.

*Nolen has discovered his passion for singing.  Most days he sings a medley of ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Bitsy Bitsy Spider (that's how he sings it) and Jesus Loves Me....over and over and over.  It is so cute.....I will put a video up soon.

*Gavin had an 8 hour stomach bug.  It was the weirdest thing.  He came in our room at 12:30 in the morning covered in throw up.  Threw up 3 more times and had diarrhea twice, kept Eric and I awake ALL night and then got up around 8:00 starving and full of energy.  He played all day and has been fine ever since.

*I purchased my first maternity item for this pregnancy--a dress from Ross for $4.99!  It is really cute!

*I have had bloodwork done 2 more times since I found out I was pregnant and my levels have been GREAT!

*I am officially 6 weeks and 4 days today.  Saturday was the first day that I have felt a little nautious but nothing too bad.  I am pretty tired and have taken several naps--which is probably why I haven't blogged.

*I have my last appointment with my fertility doctor on Thursday and then I am officially "turned over" to my ob!

*I have had several people tell me that I am showing already!  I hear that with the 3rd you show sooner but seriously?  Showing at 6 weeks.....Lord help me not to be a fat cow!

Well, I guess that's all for now.

On another note, please keep my niece Ayla in  your prayers.  If you would like details on what is going on with her--check out my sisters blog; The Breathing Room.
