Are you ready for some football???

The time has come....my Gavin is playing his first "organized sport"--flag football. Oh and guess who his super hot, boardshort, sandal wearing--barely ever played football but LOVES it--coach is? That's right....Daddy Eric!!!

Gavin has had practice maybe half a dozen times and has decided that he doesn't like football and wants to play baseball. He told me that he wants to "unsign up". I informed him that he will attend every practice and every game for this season and then if he doesn't want to play after that then he doesn't have to. I followed with "We Giffords are not quitters" (am I a Mom or what?). He replied with "Well this Gifford is a quitter--I wanna quit." Oh well....maybe once they start playing actual games then he will like it better? or maybe not.

Oh...but then there is this little guy. He was crying because he wanted to "pway footbaw too".

4th of July!!

Eric's parents had a "Gifford Family Reunion" at their house for the 4th this year. We all had a great time. Sonny's bbq and crawfish....yummmm. The kids played on the slide and swam...and swam. The fireworks were amazing....Papaw really out did himself this year!!! Fun day!

PooPoo Problem!

I know......I have not posted in like 2 months. We have been busy....not sure what has been filling up my days but I have not had a chance to sit down and blog. Now we are all sick; I have NO voice....cannot talk at all (you should hear me try to discipline the boys--they laugh) so I figured this would be a good time to catch up!

We have a problem...well Nolen has a problem. He poops in pools and around pools. He pooped on the concrete around the pool at Eric's parents house and blamed it on his sweet cousin Elliott (who's Mommy was smart enough to put a swim diaper on her), then he pooped IN the pool at Eric's parents house on 4th of July (during a family reunion) and the pool had to be evacuated, then he pooped in our pool. Let's just say he now has to wear swim diapers (not that they really do anything except hold it in until they smoosh it and it starts coming out the sides).

OK.....what a great way to start off my blogging session!! As if you aren't completely grossed out....here is a picture for you!

Camping with Daddy...

I don't know if I have ever said it....but my hubbie rocks!!! He is such an awesome Daddy...my kids are soooo blessed. Gavin has been begging to go camping. So...Eric decided to set up the tent in the backyard a few weeks ago so him and Gavin could camp out. Mommy isn't much of a camper...I have to be able to wash my face before bed. Anyways...they set up the tent and Gavin put all the blankets and sleeping bags he could find in it. We made smores over the fire pit and then Mommy headed inside to get a bath and enjoy the air conditioning while the boys headed to the tent to tell stories and all that fun stuff. It wasn't long after I went to bed that they joined me inside. I guess it isn't as fun when you have an air conditioning unit and a pool pump in your ear while you are trying to sleep. Gavin still had a blast though....
