Going for a ride.....down the stairs!

It seems like ever since we found out that baby #3 is a boy.....Gavin and Nolen have constantly been doing things to show me how crazy my life is going to be as a Mom to 3 boys.  The most recent scared me to death!
Sunday night Eric wasn't here and I was sitting in the living room on the couch.  All of a sudden I hear BOOM, BOOM, BOOM as something is flying down the stairs.  My first thought was, "ok...what did the boys throw down the stairs."  When "it" got to the bottom of the stairs and the BOOMS stopped, both of the boys start crying.
I run into the foyer area and realize that what came down the stairs was my kids.....in a laundry basket!
Nolen is on the stairs (I am thinking he was in the back) and Gavin was on the wood floor in front of the steps.  Somehow they managed to not get badly hurt.  Gavin's ribs were red on one side and he said his leg hurt.  Nolen said his toe hurt.
Gavin was crying and saying....."I am soooo sorry, I am so so sorry.  I don't want to die!"  Once I assured him that he wasn't going to die and he was fine he said "It just looked fun."
We came into the living room and Nolen said "Mommy, both of your boys got hurt on the stairs. I think we need to cuddle on the couch with a blanket." It was so funny....he thought cuddle time would make them feel better.  So....we cuddled on the couch and Mommy thanked Jesus that we weren't on our way to the hospital for a broken bone or cracked open head!

Sciatica......huh?

I have had a rough week or so.  I think it was last Saturday or Sunday that my back started hurting.  By Tuesday it was so bad that I was in tears and Eric called the chiropractor.  I went in and learned that my entire pelvis is shifted to the right....causing pressure on my left sciatic nerve (or something like that).
I went back 3 days last week and would feel some relief after going but continued to have pain.
All of a sudden last night it just went away.....like GONE!  Totally gone.  I am not sure if the little guy changed positions or what happened but it doesn't matter.  I am sooo thankful because it really put me in a funk.  I was mad.  I have WAY to much to do to be having back issues at 26 weeks pregnant.  Aside from having 2 kids and a VERY busy husband, I have a baby room to prepare!
So.....pray that it doesn't come back!  Glucose test Tuesday....fun times!

Men.....or boys and their toys!

As most of you know.....we had a little incident involving a sippy cup and a 52" Sony Bravia Flat Screen Television.  Since our suspicions were confirmed and it is definitely "going to cost more to fix than to buy a new one", we started looking.
Well, Eric bought a new TV the other day and it is HUGE!  He got a great deal on it.  It has something covering the screen so that sippy cups will not penetrate it, which is a definite plus.  However, I don't think the boys will go anywhere near it for fear of their lives.  Kidding, kind of.
Did I mention it is huge?  Like--60"!  Like--we need to move and have a bigger living room to accomodate this thing?!
Oh well, men boys gotta have their toys!  Eric is very much looking forward to football season.....even more now.
Me?  Well, I am trying to figure out how to rearrange my pictures on the wall because the TV is covering the bottoms of them now.

YUM!!!

A few weeks ago, Lori posted this recipe on her blog.  It looked easy enough and my family LOVES alfredo and shrimp (except Gavin....who just loves shrimp).  So, I went to Pioneer Woman's website and printed it out.  It was super easy and delicious!!!
While I was there, I started looking at all the recipes.  There was TONS of amazing food.  I also printed out this recipe.  Eric really likes cajun pasta....so I figured I would try it out.  It was soooo good.  I even made a version using soy milk that wasn't spicy for the boys and they cleaned their plates (After Gavin informed me that it looked gross)!
I am all about trying new things.  They have to be simple though...and I don't like a ton of weird ingredients that are hard to find.
So.....try this recipe and let me know what you think.  I liked it enough to put it in my cookbook!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great July 4th!  We went to church, out to lunch and then spent the rest of the day at Eric's parents house.

The boys swam for hours and hours and hours.  There are hardly any pictures of Gavin because he was way to busy playing with his "cool, older" cousins to let me take any pictures of him.
And Nolen played with Spiderman ALL day long.
He also picked Mommy a flower....one that Mamaw had just planted!
We ate yummy food!
The adults played croquet....
They made smores in Mamaw and Papaw's outdoor fireplace (which is becoming a tradition).
Gavin had burn't marshmallows on graham crackers.....and he loved them.  He doesn't even know that he is missing the best part of a smore.
and then Daddy and Uncle Sean did the fireworks that Papaw got.  We got home about 10:30 and Mama was ttttiiiiiirrrrrreeeedddd!  It was a great day!

24 Weeks Already!!

This pregnancy is flying by!  I am feeling pretty good.  I can definitely tell that this is my third pregnancy.  I think I am already "waddling".....mainly because my sciatic nerve is bothering me.  I don't recall that happening this soon with the boys.  Other than that....I am just pretty tired in the evenings and my patience isn't what it usually is (which isn't saying much because I am always impatient......now I have none--zero).

I am no longer going to tell you how much weight I have gained.  Ha!  So, obviously it is more than I would prefer at this point.  I am guessing somewhere around 20 lbs so far.  I feel like my arms and face are already filling out and I swear I have cellulite at the tops of my legs.  Ugh.  I am going to Florida in August for maternity pictures with the most amazing photographer.....Mrs. Amy Q, and I was really hoping not to look gigantic for them.  I am already considering asking if she can use photoshop to slim my arms and face down in the pictures!
Little Man is kicking all the time.  The boys have both got to feel him and they get so excited!  Nolen is still full of questions.....he wants to know if babies poop and pee in their cribs and if he can carry the baby and if the baby is as big as his spider man toy...and on and on and on.

We are getting really close with a name.  I think that we have pretty much decided but I don't want to announce it until I am sure.  It isn't a name that was on the poll but it was fun anyway!

Day at the Lake!

When we had a boat, we used to go on the lake all the time.  Then we had two kids. sold our boat and started hanging out by the pool instead.  It was just easier with the kids and less work for Mommy and Daddy.
Eric's parents still have a boat and I think we went out on it one time last year.  Gavin and Nolen have been begging to go up there.  Eric's brother's family had went up and spent the night on the boat the night before. So, yesterday we headed up and spent the day with them on the boat!  The boys were so excited, as we were pulling up to the marina Gavin said "I am literally sooooo excited!"
We had a great day!

Mommy and Nolen riding on the boat.
Daddy and Nolen....so sweet!
The boys had so much fun swimming and jumping off the boat!
And they went tubing!
Nolen rode with cousin Wyatt.
Gavin went with Daddy
And did a little cliff jumping and rope swinging!
Gavin told me that it was "the best day of his life"!

And Nolen said "I wuv necarines Mommy!  Dese are sooo good!"

Hmmmm........

I know it has been a while since I last posted.....I can't think of anything to say. Weird--I know.

I did get a couple of cute maternity shirts....

This one....It says "This is how I roll"

And this one....which I was wearing for my 20 week post.

Gavin and I went shopping the other day and ordered the crib.  I planned on using Nolen's furniture but his crib got recalled.  So.....we got a voucher to get a new one.  Fortunately, we were able to find one that was similar to the one we had so it will go with the changing table.
I told Eric that I feel like this pregnancy is flying by but we are not getting anything done.  We are using Nolen's bedding but I want the nursery to be completely different and we have a lot to do.
Poor baby has No Name.  We have completely changed our mind on names.  I really want to make a decision but Eric is not in any hurry.
I am in a serious sewing rut!  I ordered some REALLY cute fabric to make some stuff.  I have a gift that I really need to make, the baby is already here and he is going to be six months old before I get it done!  I just cannot seem to get motivated and when I do.....I seem to have no brain and mess it all up and end up REALLY frustrated.  Eric says I am "pregarted".  It means I am pregnant and retarded and just farted!  HA!  I was going to leave out the farted part.....but what pregnant woman isn't gassy?  It is just part of it.
Well, that is enough randomness for now.
